New Strategy of the Week Lineup: September 19, 2026

A new Strategy of the Week lineup went live on AlgoPuzzle on September 19, 2026: six new strategies, one free to download and five available to buy individually, starting at $4.99 (the week's top performer is $7.99). All six were tested over the same window, August 20 to September 18, 2026, against real MetaTrader 5 tick data, and every one shows its win rate, return, number of trades, profit factor, and max drawdown before you pay for or sign up for anything. Each strategy exports as a ready-to-run file for MetaTrader 5, MetaTrader 4, or cTrader, so there is nothing to code. The full lineup is on the Strategy of the Week page. The previous lineup has been retired from the shop, but anyone who bought one of its strategies keeps it in My Purchases.

This week at a glance

The lineup is six strategies: one free and five paid, spread across forex pairs and gold, several timeframes, and three styles - momentum, trend following, and mean reversion.

How this week's lineup was chosen

Nearly 10,000 strategy variants were screened on the last 30 days of market data, and only a short list of the best-looking ones went on to a much stricter test. That second test replays every trade against real tick data instead of candle summaries, and it was unforgiving: fewer than half of the short list stayed profitable, and several that looked strong on the fast screen turned into losses. Only strategies that held up made it into the lineup. What you see on each card is the tick-precise result, not the fast screen's more flattering number.

How to get this week's strategies

  1. Open Strategy of the Week and compare the six side by side - stats and an equity curve are shown for every one.
  2. Read what a strategy does before paying. The free one shows its full rules immediately; a paid one shows every performance number up front and unlocks its exact rules after purchase.
  3. Log in or create a free account, then download the free one or buy a paid one. Either way it is tied to your account, not your browser.
  4. Import the generated file into your platform. Every export ships with a README and a video walkthrough of the install steps.

Read the numbers for what they are

Every number on the page describes one fixed window of past market data, not your account, your broker, or where the market goes next. Backtests are best used to understand how a strategy behaves - how often it trades, how deep its worst stretch was, how much it needs the market to trend - before testing it on a demo account. If you want to see why that last step matters, read Backtesting vs. Demo Trading.

Common questions

When was this Strategy of the Week lineup published?

September 19, 2026. Every strategy in it was tested over the same window, August 20 to September 18, 2026, against real MetaTrader 5 tick data.

Is the free strategy new too?

Yes. The free strategy is replaced along with the five paid ones, so this week's free download is a different strategy from the previous lineup's. It still needs a free account, like any download here.

What happens to strategies from the previous lineup if I already bought one?

You keep it. Strategies leave the shop when the lineup changes, but anything you bought stays in My Purchases on your account, with its downloads and its Load into Builder button. It just can't be bought by anyone new.

Does a strategy that did well in this test window keep doing well?

Not necessarily. Each strategy shows results from one fixed window of real market data, which describes that window only. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
